MCFD Ridge MeadowsMCFD professionals working in the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows area are able to refer youth to the following programs: Reconciliatory work placements is for youth to complete their Community Work Service hours. An alternative school program for youth aged 13-19. This service monitors the curfews of youth so they remain in compliance with their court orders. Drop-in groups for youth who are exploring gender and sexuality. One-to-one community-based support and supervision for youth as an alternative to custody. A one-to-one, volunteer mentoring program for youth at risk of experiencing serious difficulties in their lives. A one-to-one, volunteer mentoring program for young adults aged 19+ who are transitioning to independence from MCFD guardianship or a Youth Agreement. A program for youth who are, or are at-risk of, sexual exploitation. Individual counselling for parents and guardians. Joint counselling for parents and teens. Drop in groups for transgender youth living in the North Fraser region. Separate sessions for parents and family members take place at the same location, at the same time. Individual counselling for youth. This service is provided to youth who need support achieving their life goals. They may or may not have a Youth Agreement. An employment program for youth aged 15-19 who are accessing our services in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows or Tri-Cities. The employer also takes on the role of mentor. Counselling services for families.
