Community Work Service
We provide youth aged 13-19 with reconciliatory work placements for youth so they can complete their Community Work Service hours.
Why we do it...
Our aim is to provide youth with meaningful experiences, enhance their sense of contribution to the community and engage the community in assisting them.
How we work...
This service is provided as part of an integrated network of outreach services that are tailored and combined to meet the unique strengths, needs and circumstances of each youth referred to us, and their families.
Where we do it...
We provide this service to youth living in Anmore, Belcarra, Katzie First Nations Communities, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, and the Tri-Cities (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody) areas.
What we do…
We maintain a range of work placements with not-for-profit organizations. Upon referral we match youth to a suitable placement, and support and monitor the completion of the work.
We accept referrals from probation officers and social workers working for the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). For Anmore, Belcarra and Tri-Cities referrals call 604 306 2738. For referrals in Katzie First Nations Communities, Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows call 604 476 2821.
