MCFD professionals working in the Tri-Cities area are able to refer youth to the following programs:
One-to-one community-based support and supervision for youth as an alternative to custody.
A one-to-one, volunteer mentoring program for youth at risk of experiencing serious difficulties in their lives.
Drop-in groups for youth who are exploring gender and sexuality.
An alternative school program for youth aged 13-19.
A program for youth who are, or are at-risk of, sexual exploitation.
Individual counselling for parents and guardians.
Joint counselling for parents and teens.
Drop in groups for transgender youth living in the North Fraser region. Separate sessions for parents and family members take place at the same location, at the same time.
For youth who require emergency or short-term specialized home care. Intake is province-wide. Homes are located Burnaby, Maple Ridge and Tri-Cities.
Individual counselling for youth.
This service is provided to youth who need support achieving their life goals. They may or may not have a Youth Agreement.
An employment program for youth aged 15-19 who are accessing our services in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows or Tri-Cities. The employer also takes on the role of mentor.
