Curfew Monitoring
This service is provided to youth aged 13-19 who have either been released from custody on bail conditions, or have been sentenced to a court order.
Why we do it...
The goals are to minimize the use of youth custody by effectively monitoring youths' compliance with their court orders, ensuring that they return to court for their scheduled appearances, and ensuring that they complete the conditions of their probation order.
How we work...
Our curfew monitoring service is provided as part of an integrated network of outreach services that are tailored and combined to meet the unique strengths, needs and circumstances of each youth referred to us, and their families.
Where we do it...
We provide this service to youth living in Anmore, Belcarra, Katzie First Nations Communities, Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.
What we do…
Curfew checks are conducted 7 days per week at varying hours (depending on the probation orders) by phone or in person. Supervising probation officers are notified immediately of any incidences of non-compliance.
We accept referrals from probation officers and social workers working for the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). Call 604 476 2821.
