Yardworks
Yardworks is available to students participating in our alternative school programs, namely Connex, Genesis, and GOAL. We also offer Yardworks to the adults we serve.
Why we do it...
Our aim is to provide Yardworks’ participants with valuable work experience and skills required to enter the workforce.
How we work...
Yardworks operates as a social enterprise. Any surplus revenue is invested back into the business. More often than not it is used to purchase and maintain equipment.

What we do…
Under the close supervision of PLEA, the youth and adults in Yardworks provide customers with a variety of services, including junk removal, lawn care and garden maintenance. Participants are paid an hourly wage.
Who we work with…
Yardworks for youth is delivered in partnership with local School Districts #39, #42, #43.
Youth must be enrolled in one of our alternative schools in order to participate in Yardworks. Adults must be accessing one of our adult programs. For further information contact Yardworks in your area.
