Starry Night
PLEA Community Services is proud to facilitate Generation Out; an initiative that brings together youth aged 13 to 18 years who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two-spirited or questioning. Known amongst youth circles as Gen-Out this initiative provides a safe, positive and supportive space for youth to regularly meet. Activities are a key component of how the youth spend time together.
Organized by the youth in Gen-Out, the Starry Night Prom is open to all youth who identify as LGBTQ who would like to participate in a secondary school prom where their sexual orientation neither prevents nor deters their participation. The event takes place in June in the Tri-Cities. We are looking for donations of food, refreshments and funds to make this prom one to remember. Any donations received will help cover the cost of the DJ, decorations and lighting. We are also hoping to provide a small gift to all those that attend as a reminder of the great night had by all.
If you would like to donate food or refreshments contact Dave Doucette ([email protected]). For cash donations, please complete the form below.
Thank you for supporting this event. With your help we can organize a great prom to celebrate diversity and inclusivity.
