MCFD Tri-Cities

The following programs are available to MCFD professionals working in the Tri-Cities area.

One-to-one community-based support and supervision for youth as an alternative to custody.

A one-to-one, volunteer mentoring program for youth  at risk of experiencing serious difficulties in their lives.

Drop-in groups for youth who are exploring gender and sexuality.

An alternative school program for youth aged 13-19.

A program for youth who are, or are at-risk of, sexual exploitation.

Parents and guardians access our parent counselling support services when they need some assistance managing their parental responsibilities and the youth are unwilling or unable to participate in counselling alongside them.

We provide mediation for families in crisis, including when youth have left the home or are at risk of leaving home.

Drop in groups for transgender youth living in the North Fraser region. Separate sessions for parents and family members take place at the same location, at the same time.

For youth who require emergency or short-term specialized residential care. Intake is province-wide. Homes are located Burnaby, Maple Ridge and Tri-Cities.

Youth can access counselling in a one-to-one format when they require individual support and intervention. Family members can join the sessions if it is deemed beneficial to everyone involved.

This service is provided to youth who need support achieving their life goals. They may or may not have a Youth Agreement.

An employment program for youth aged 15-19 who are accessing our services in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows or Tri-Cities.  The employer also takes on the role of mentor.

Support services designed to address family functioning
