PLEA has been opening doors for children and families facing challenges
since 1979 and provides tailor made services to meet individuals needs
and circumstances.

PLEA is a CARF accredited community service organization.
The Daughters and Sisters program is designed for young women from 12-18
years of age with addiction issues.
- Referrals to the program are accepted from probation officers within the province of British Columbia with limited space available for client specific placements. Call Program Director Michelle Hawco at 604-708-2606 to discuss funding options and the referral process for client specific placements. Referrals are accepted from sources throughout Canada.
- Referrals are reviewed by the admissions screening committee on a monthly
basis.
- We ensure that all youth who wish to enter the program have equal access
and will not be denied due to geographical distance, ethnicity or culture,
or their assumed ability to complete the program.
- We will contact the referring agent after the Screening Committee review
to advise you of client suitability and estimated wait times.
- Referring agents will work with the youth throughout the treatment
process as part of the case management team.
- For youth referred on a probation referral, the youth's probation order
must be long enough to see them through the waitlist and treatment process
(recommend at least one year).
- The youth's probation order must have a condition to attend a residential
attendance program.
For questions about referrals or intakes call (604) 543 7892.
