Community Inclusion Worker

This position works within our specialized adult residential program (FolkStone). The residents who access this program are adults who have complex personal and social needs that require a heightened level of support, health care, medical supervision and specialized services. The incumbent is responsible for assisting residents to participate in educational, vocational, social, recreational and cultural activities that are available in their communities – and to achieve their individual goals, as identified in their service and nursing plans.

 Casual / On Call Youth Support Worker

This position works within our specialized youth residential programs (U-Turn and U-Link). The youth who access these programs have not experienced success in other residential settings; they have complex care needs that require supported family care living environments with a heightened level of support and supervision, and a range of specialized services. These youth have been exposed to risk-provoking environments, and present with a variety of disabilities, mental health issues, challenging behaviours and involvement in the criminal justice system. The incumbent is responsible for engaging the youth in one-to-one activities in the community that are aligned with the goals identified in their service plans, recognize their individual strengths and circumstances, and support their healthy development, and sense of success and well-being.

This position is causal/on-call and will be covering holidays in different locations.

U-Learn Tutor (BC Certified)

Through individualized tutoring services our tutors help the children and youth we serve overcome the educational challenges they face.

Contracted hours vary from 8-10 to 30 hours per month, depending on the needs of the young person. Schedules and case load can be flexible to fit in with other commitments. Rate is $30 per hour. Contracts are typically long-term.

We are currently looking for BC certified tutors who are willing to work in one or more of the following areas: Coquitlam, Fraser Valley, Langley and Maple Ridge. 

Experience with alternate education, aboriginal populations, youth at-risk, learning and behavioral difficulties an asset.
